Size: 16 oz bulk loose tea
Blend: The Tao of Tea

History: In Ayurvedic principles, Vata governs the principle of air and is the energy of movement in your body. Vata can also be seen as our life-force or in yoga terms, as 'prana'. Vata is the impulse to act and react.

A Vata imbalance can have some of the following indicators: very dry skin, poor circulation, feeling easily anxious and afraid when under stress, muscle twitching and spasms, moving and talking quickly. When Vata is in balance it allows for lightness, creativity and a feeling of contentment.

Our Vata tea blend is a combination of herbs and tea (roasted tea leaves with minimal caffeine) to help you feel grounded and relaxed.

Flavor Profile: Toasty, Sweet and citrus.
Ingredients: Roasted Tea Leaves, Lemongrass, Dried Orange Peel, Licorice Root.
Certified Organic by: Quality Assurance International (QAI)

Herbal teas with light, delicate blossoms or leaves require somewhat shorter steeping times and lower temperatures than other more hearty herbs. We recommend using 2 teaspoons of leaf per 8oz of near boiling water (180 to 200 F) and steeping 3 to 5 minutes. This provides a sweeter, better tasting brew while repeated infusions allow you to extract all the nutritional and medicinal benefits from the herb. Herbal teas can be brewed in porcelain, ceramic, glass, or stainless steel but never in aluminum or other harmful materials. Be sure to cover the cup or teapot while steeping to prevent the loss of fragrant essential oils and other therapeutic and nutritional elements.
